Native American flutist and composer Hovia Edwards and I are excited to announce a new commission to create a Native American flute concerto. This new work will draw upon on our past co-creative collaboration on the opera, Sacajawea, Nu’ Nah-Hup, Her Story. We recently premiered an excerpt of this work, Farewell, with the Idaho State Civic Symphony. This new work will be premiered by the Idaho State Civic Symphony with maestro Nell Flanders.
